Mary desCarreaux married Eloi (Edward) St Arnold I believe in MN. They moved back to the LaPointe area in WI and had Marguerite, Margaritha, Madeline, Henricus and Edwardus.
We know very little about the St Arnolds other than they were in MI at one point and moved to LaPointe. Marguerite (next in line in the family tree) married August Bachand from MI which is where the L'Anse / Keweenaw Bay Tribal history comes in.
Marguerite (Margaret) and August Bachand had six children: Esther, Virginia, James, Edward, Nancy and Ivy. What is more interesting is ALL of these children ended up moving back to Ashland (Bad River) Odanah and died there as well. Nancy Bachand (b1870) would be Paul's G, G, Grandmother. I wish we had picture of Nancy. We think that maybe she is in an old photo of Hotel Murray in Odanah WI on the balcony - but this is only speculation. I would LOVE to see what she looked like because our daughter Margaret looks almost identical to Nancy's daughter Martha Wood (Paul's G Grandmother). I will post a picture comparison in the next couple days.
